Lenčéšová, Michaela ; Kopeček, Michal (advisor) ; Šmíd, Marek (referee) ; Šebek, Jaroslav (referee)
The dissertation explores the political thinking of the Catholic philosopher Štefan Polakovič (1912-1999), who is considered one of the main ideologists of Jozef Tiso's politics during the Slovak state (1939-1945). In the context of the political struggle between President Tiso and Prime Minister Vojtech Tuka, Polakovič participated in the Nazification of Slovak Catholic political thinking by creating Slovak and Catholic concepts inspired by the ideology of the German National Socialists. After the Second World War, from Argentina, he tried to achieve the restoration of the Slovak state and in the 1990s he was one of the apologists of Jozef Tiso's politics and a supporter of the idea of the anti-fascist Catholic resistance in the milieu of the Hlinka Slovak People's Party. The main aim of this dissertation is to investigate, what were the main reasons for Polakovič's fascism and why he considered the nation-state as the only acceptable form of statehood for the Slovak nation. Although the dissertation concentrates mainly on Polakovic's thinking during the Slovak state period, it also pays attention to Polakovič's thinking during Argentine emigration in an attempt to reflect the development of his thinking throughout the twentieth century. First, this dissertation describes the birth and history of...
Influence of Italian fascism on Peronism in Argentina
Sabolová, Ema ; Mejstřík, Martin (advisor) ; Kubát, Michal (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the influences of Italian fascism on Peronism in Argentina. First of all, attention is paid to the theoretical concept, in an effort to define the ambiguous notion of fascism as precisely as possible. The work focuses on the overview of several scientific approaches and theories on this phenomenon, the characteristic features and the practical functioning of the fascist regime in Italy during the inter-war period. The problem of misinterpretation and misuse of this term is also examined. Further attention is paid to Argentina between 1946-1955, the period of Peron's presidency, which is still a very polemical part of Argentinean history. The thesis tries to analyze the functioning of Peronism, its historical context, and some characteristic features. In the following, the thesis focuses on the comparison of the two regimes, Mussolini's fascist Italy (1922-1943) and Perón's Argentina (1946-1955), on the basis of predetermined criteria such as: the leadership, the relationship of regimes to democracy, economic policy and the relation of regimes to elites. These criteria analyze and compare the political practice of both politicians. The aim of the thesis, based on the analysis of common features and differences, is to confirm or refute the thesis that Peronism was a...
Hospodářské a politické příčiny politiky appeasementu Velké Británie
